WATSON – Once Were PLanets
Following their nomination for the esteemed Golden Gibbo award in 2012, sketch comedy masterminds Watson, otherwise known as Tegan Higginbotham and Adam McKenzie, join forces once again to deliver their most energetic, creative and challenging show to date: WATSON Once Were Planets.
Watson once again discover themselves in the middle of a situation they have neither the experience nor intellect to navigate, their knack for trouble gleefully playing out in this zero gravity intergalactic mission. On the surface, WATSON Once Were Planets is a swashbuckling space adventure, however at its core it explores how relationships change over time: Earth with Pluto, Adam with Tegan. Everything changes.
Incorporating live acrobatic Black Art illusions with fast paced narrative comedy, WATSON Once Were Planets is a scintillating sci-fi spectacle that should not be missed.
Alumni of popular sketch comedy group The Hounds, Tegan and Adam have worked together for over seven years. Both individually, and together as Watson, Tegan and Adam have been praised for their playful, clever writing and exceptional comic timing. Their genuine love of performing is evident by absorbing onstage chemistry and enthralling, well-constructed narratives, charmingly delivered with equal measures of wit, enthusiasm and an endearing self-awareness.
WATSON, a marvelous collaboration, is a constant pleasure to watch.
